General
Counsel Advantage Whether home-based
or Fortune 500, for a business to grow and prosper its management must continuously
overcome legal challenges. Whenever a product is sold or service performed, every
time an employee or independent contractor is hired or fired, and when a contract
is signed, an industry-related statute or regulation enacted or amended, or a
decision made, legal problems may result. For this reason, successful companies
gain an advantage over their competitors by employing one or more lawyers "in-house"
to protect the business and safeguard the owners' (e.g., shareholders, if it is
a corporation) investment. Such lawyers are commonly referred to as general counsel. For
smaller companies, traditionally there have been two alternatives: management
relied upon its own judgment, often with less than satisfactory results,
or hired a law firm to represent the company, frequently at unanticipated
expense. The two-tiered approach of our General Counsel Advantage For
an affordable monthly fee, we assist with routine business-related matters
by, among other things, providing telephone consultations and review and
advice on contracts and other documents. Because many problems can be
resolved with a telephone call or letter from an attorney, we also make
telephone calls or send written correspondence to third parties on your
behalf, when deemed appropriate. These services are subject to certain
time limitations and other restrictions as set forth in our retainer and
legal services agreement. For more complex problems, such as drafting
contracts, the formation of business entities, and handling negotiations,
we offer services to our General Counsel Advantage
